mudgeonsoul productions brings people together to create and exhibit film, theater, music, performance and writing, as well as visual, fuctional and activist arts. mudgeonsoul productions projects are independently produced, highly collaborative and encourage coalition building between artists.
Richard Paro - artistic director
Richard works in all aspects of film/video and theater. Richard's directing experience includes the independent feature
An Obvious Moment of Happiness, the short film series Haunting Perpetually Dead Squirrels and a
Chicago production of Jane Martin's satirical play,
Laura's Bush. Other past credits include More Than Gravity (actor), Empty Boxes (writer/actor) and he was the director of photography and producer for the award winning short
Most Wonderful People, one of Film Threat's Top Ten of shorts of the year.
He served on the board of the Milwaukee Independent Film Society for three years, including two years as vice president. Richard's new feature, Mass Romantic,
earned him a "Best Director" award on the festival circuit and continues to screen at festivals around the world.
Cyra K. Polizzi - associate director
Cyra works full time in theatre and film, with an emphasis on acting and directing. Cyra's production company, Full Voice focuses on projects that question assumptions, often include multi-issue and gender/queer activism, and employ a vegan philosophy. Before moving to Chicago, Cyra graduated from UW-Madison in Acting, Women's Studies and Environmental Studies.
